- Commanders Cup Sports
Commanders Cup intramural sports are reserved for active duty Soldiers. Sports include basketball, football, golf, soccer, softball and volleyball.

We have five fitness centers that are conveniently located all across post. You will find a list, along with class schedules and information about our personal trainers on our Fitness Centers page.
- 5K Fun Run Series
MWR Sports will host a 5K Run Series including five races:
• Ugly Sweater Run, Dec 14
• 4 Legged Love Run, Feb 8
• Bunny Run, April 4
• Run to Remember, May 16
• Summer Soaker, June 6
Each race earns participants one part of a five-medal set, pictured here. The cost is $15 per race for adults and $10 for kids 5 and younger. (Mom and Dad can run with kids for free, or kids can run with parents free, no medal will be issues for participants who do not register. Courses are stroller friendly.) Register for one race at a time at webtrac.mwr.army.mil. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org. The first 250 to register for each race will receive a Tshirt.

- Chesty Puller Challenge Trail Run
The annual Fort Benning Chesty Puller Challenge is a 10ish miler trail run routed deep into the woods near Kelley Hill. Male and female participants will be assigned separately to the appropriate age division. The top three in each division will be awarded a prize. There will also be a division for military teams of three and four members. Registration is $50 per person or $125 for team until the day of the race, when it will increase to $70. Shirts to first 100 sign-ups.
The Chesty Puller Kids Challenge 1-Mile or 2-Mile fun run for kids will start at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $10 until race day, then increases to $15.

- Okoberfest 10K Cross Country Challenge
Saturday starts at 9am with the annual Oktoberfest 10K Cross Country Challenge sponsored by Kia Autosport Columbus. The dirt route winds deep into the wooded hills around Uchee Creek.
The 5K Family Fun Run is a bit more accommodating.
These events are open to the public.
The 10K is $30; the 5K is $10. (The Volksmarch is free. Registration is not required.)
Prizes and t-shirts are awarded only to paid participants.
Registration on site on race day increases by $10 for each race, starting at 7am. The race starts at 9am. This event also includes a stroller-friendly, dog-friendly Volksmarch, which starts right after the 10K starts. No registration required.
After the race, show your bib and receive FREE entry into Oktoberfest (Saturday only).
- Army 10 Miler
For more than 30 year, the Army Ten-Miler has promoted the Army and its fitness goals, while building esprit de corps and enhancing community relations. This October more than 30,000 runners will take to the streets of Washington, D.C. to participate in the Army’s premier running event. The race is produced by the Military District of Washington and all race proceeds benefit Soldier MWR programs.
We host qualifier races each year for active duty, activated National Guard and activated Reservists assigned to Fort Benning. Each event starts at Santiago Fitness Center on Sand Hill and registration is onsite the morning of the race. Selections are based on individual run times posted during the qualifier dates. Runners may participate in more than one qualifier. Anyone selected will be eligible for Commander’s Cup points and run as part of the Fort Benning Ten-Miler Team. Selections will be made for the Fort Benning Team based on individual run times posted during the qualifier dates listed above. Anyone selected will run as part of the Fort Benning Army Ten-Miler team during the Annual Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C.
