MWR Fitness Centers are implementing a touchless sign-in system! ACTION IS NEEDED FROM YOU!
We'll be implementing a touchless sign-in system at Smith Fitness Center starting July 30. The remaining fitness centers will launch these new systems at a later date.
To access the gyms, you need an active WebTrac household account and to activate your ID card with our new system. Two forms of ID will be required to activate your ID card.
There are 3 ways you can create your household:
- Visit MWR WebTrac to create an account. Then visit Smith Fitness Center to have your ID card activated.
- Visit Smith Fitness Center to fill out an information form. Our staff will input your information during your workout and you can activate your ID card before you leave.
- Visit Smith Fitness Center and a staff member will help enter your household information and activate your ID card while you wait.
Note: Account creation and ID card activation will be available at other fitness centers once the new systems become available.

If you already have an MWR Recreation household account (commonly used for Outdoor Recreation events and pool reservations), you do not need to complete this step.
We recommend accessing the WebTrac website through a desktop or laptop. Mobile devices may not be compatible. For issues pertaining to creating households on WebTrac, please contact Haley Ryan at 706-329-1034 or email@example.com.
- Audie Murphy Athletic Performance Center on Main Post
The 23,142 square foot Audie Murphy Athletic Performance Center is equipped for athletes and Soldiers focused on improving performance on or in the field. The center was dedicated in 1972 to the nation’s most highly decorated Veteran, 2nd LT Audie Murphy, who earned the Medal of Honor during World War II.
We’ve stocked the center with equipment geared toward functional training, including kettle bells, medicine balls, sleds, power racks, dumbbells, TRX, rowers, ladders, climbers, stability balls, battling ropes, slide boards and more.
Between 5:30 and 11 a.m., Soldiers in PT gear are our primary clients and our first priority. Please schedule your visit accordingly and always yield equipment, classroom or floor space to these Soldiers.
Aside from peak PT hours, you will find Audie Murphy to be a quiet facility, perfect for those serious about their workout.
- Breezeway Fitness Center Complex on Main Post
The Breezeway Complex Fitness Center is a membership only facility and open 24/7. Office hours are 7am-4pm weekdays. This facility includes smaller machines, and new equipment for functional fitness. The price of membership is:
- $18 per month/per person
- $30 for married couples
- $50 for a family of four
- $70 for families of five or more
membership includes the outdoor fitness park. Equipment includes a multi-station rig, bumper plates, Olympic bars, pull-ups, medicine balls TRX trainers and more.

- Whittington High Performance Center in Harmony Church
Our newest fitness center is located on Harmony Church and features 24,000 square feet of full range Hammer Strength plate loaded equipment, Nautilus Selectorized Strength Equipment, cable crossovers, squat racks, ultimate Sorinex Battle Rig, and a large functional fitness area. There are also fitness rooms for cardio, spin, wrestling, dumbbells and more.
- Santiago Fitness Center on Sand Hill
Santiago Fitness Center opened in 1977, nearly a decade after the death of its namesake, Spec. 4 Hector Santiago-Colon, who earned the Medal of Honor in Vietnam.
The 23,728 square foot facility is a favorite among the Sand Hill cadre and military retirees, who find it more quiet and convenient than facilities on Main Post. Santiago Fitness Center has basketball and racquetball courts; plate loaded, free and selectorized weight equipment; cardio equipment; locker rooms and a co-ed sauna.
- Smith Fitness Center on Main Post
Smith Fitness Center is a 100,000 square foot facility with state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. The gymnasium can be configured into basketball courts or two volleyball courts. The center has 12,500 square feet of cardiovascular and weight training space, 7,500 square feet of exercise and training rooms, and two racquetball courts. At Smith Fitness Center, we offer personal training and fitness classes.

At Smith Fitness Center and Audie Murphy Athletic Performance Center, we offer a variety of classes to help you get in shape and stay in shape! Classes are $3 each and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Body Pump: This 60 minute workout challenges all major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises, such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. The key to Bodypump is the “rep effect," which focuses on high repetition with low weight loads.

PiYo: This class combines the music-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga.
Yoga: Beginner, intermediate, and advanced Yoga moves designed to work on strength, flexibility, and breathing. Improve performance, reduce injury, and provide faster recovery for athletes of all levels.
Kettlebell:This class will give fast results for strength, endurance and muscle toning by challenging both the muscular and cardiovascular systems with dynamic, total body movements
TRX®: is Total-body Resistance Exercise and is an anchored, two-strap suspension training system that leverages your body weight against gravity to provide workouts that simultaneously target and challenge muscular stability, strength, and muscular endurance while improving flexibility, balance, coordination, and total power.
Body 180: Blast your cardio fitness to the next level! This class provides the variety your body needs to see results by combining fun cardio routines with specific muscle conditioning that will be tailored to the classes needs week to week. MixxedFit®: is a people-inspired dance fitness program that is a perfect blend of explosive dancing and boot camp inspired toning.
Zumba® Toning: This class is designed for those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba® Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged!
Zumba Sentao®: combines strength and resistance training with innovative dance moves, using a chair as your dance partner.
Yoga Flow: A full body Vinyasa yoga class linking breath to movement with a focus on posture fundamentals and mindfulness. Expect to begin each flow slowly with a detailed description of pose form, and then transition to breath to movement pace in subsequent flows. Come on in and unroll your mat for an hour of inspiring tunes and positive self-care!
Yoga Fusion: Yoga Fusion incorporates stationary poses to challenge your balance and staying power with elements of flow to challenge your whole body. Designed to create smooth transitions from one pose to the next. Suitable for all levels.
Restorative Yoga: Deep stretching, where poses are held longer and props are used. This class is designed for relaxation, work on pranayama (breath), along with meditation to assist with relaxation in the body and mind. It is great for low back, and those rehabilitating from injuries. This class is appropriate for all levels.
Power Yoga (Ashtanga Inspired): This class will use various synchronized poses coupled with breath work to create heat and energetic movement. It is great for building core strength, and toning the body. Be prepared to sweat and move through a set sequence. This class is appropriate for intermediate levels.
N2 Circuit: This full-body, high energy circuit training class incorporates functional movements for strength and cardio gains. Exercises will be performed in rotation with minimal rest while utilizing a variety of fitness tools such as battle ropes, barbells, and Kettle-bells, (to name a few). Workout change every week!
Intro to Kettle-bell Lifting: Teaches the safe performance of the basic hard-style kettle-bells lifts (swings, cleans, presses, squats, get-up) required to participate in the Kettle-bell strength & conditioning class.
Kettle-bell Strength & Conditioning: A total body, low-to-no impact High Intensity Resistance Training workout to improve cardiovascular performance, strength, power, coordination and fat burning. Attending the Intro to Kettle-bell Lifting class is highly recommended for those new to KBs.

MWR has five fitness centers on Fort Benning. Four of them are free to our patrons, and the fifth — the Breezeway Fitness Center — is open 24/7 for members.
Children 12 and younger are not permitted in the cardiovascular and strength training areas, sauna, steam rooms or jacuzzi. Family members 15 years and younger must be actively participating in the same activity and under direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
