Where to Get Emergency Financial Assistance
Army Emergency Relief (AER) helps active-duty Soldiers, retirees, Reserve and National Guard Soldiers on Title 70 orders, and their Families. Each request for assistance is unique and considered on an individual basis.
AER often helps with expenses for things like:
- Emergency travel
- Rent, mortgage, and utilities
- Essential car repairs
- Medical and dental expenses
- PCS Costs
- Special needs medical equipment
- Spouse relicensing/recertification
- Childcare
- Funeral costs
- Food and basic needs
Who Qualifies for Emergency Assistance?
- Emergency financial assistance is available to:
- Active-duty service members
- Retired military personnel
- Reserve and National Guard members on active orders for 30 days or more
- Eligible Family members
- Surviving spouses who have not remarried

The Annual AER Campaign
The Annual AER Campaign is held every year from 1 March to 15 May. This campaign is to inform Soldiers about AER and to accept contributions to the AER program.
Ways to Donate
- Please contact your unit Project officer for donations or stop by the Fort Moore AER office, located at Army Community Services, Building 7, Patch Hall.
- Donations can be made year round at www.armyemergencyrelief.org/donate/. Donations can be made via online electronic payment or via allotment from your monthly pay.
