May 1: FAP Ethical Considerations for the Substance Use Disorder Treatment Provider
Join FAP as they host Bradford Health Services 9 am - Noon at the ACS Auditorium, Bldg 7 on training that will explore common ethical considerations faced by providers who work with clients with substance use disorders. Attendees will increase their knowledge about issues such as field-specific areas of competency, common pitfalls faced by practitioners, and privacy considerations specific to the population. Participants will receive 3.0 free continuing education hours.
May 4 – 29: New Parent Support Program - Infant & Toddler Life Jacket Distribution
Stop by the Family Advocacy Program building 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. weekdays to pick up an infant or toddler life jacket while supplies last. This distribution supports water safety awareness and helps Families prepare for summer activities.
May 20: FAP – Internet Safety for Children and Teens
The Family Advocacy Program, in partnership with The Children’s Tree House, hosts the first of an engaging multi-session series dedicated to enhancing family well-being 4 - 4:45 p.m. at the ACS Auditorium. This first session will cover the importance of internet safety to protect children and teens from online predators, cyberbullying, and inappropriate content while fostering healthy digital habits. Plus, if you’re enrolled through select on-base childcare centers, you can earn valuable Parent Advisory Board (PAB) points.
May 21: New Parent Support Program - Play & Learn “Mommy and Me Yoga”
Join NPSP between 9:30 - 11 a.m. at Blue Field Pavilions for a fun and engaging Play & Learn session designed to support early development through hands‑on activities, movement, and parent‑ child connection. Families can enjoy a relaxed environment that encourages exploration, social interaction, and skill‑ building for little ones. This session offers parents simple strategies to support growth and learning while creating meaningful moments together.
May 28: New Parent Support Program – Walking Parent Support Group
Take a break from the daily routine and join NPSP 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Blue Field Pavilions for a refreshing morning walk designed to support parents in building connections, reducing stress, and enjoying time outdoors. This group offers a relaxed space to share experiences, meet other parents in the community, and get moving at a comfortable pace. Strollers and little ones are welcome, and all fitness levels can participate.
June 1 - 30: New Parent Support Program – Potty Training Starter Packs
Stop by the Family Advocacy Program weekdays, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. throughout June to pick up a Potty-Training Starter Pack designed to support your child’s transition with confidence. Each pack includes helpful tools and resources to make the potty-training process smoother for both parents and little ones. Supplies are available while they last.
June 2: Storybook Reading at WHINSEC – Where Do Hands Go
A child-friendly interactive book reading 4 - 5 p.m. at WHINSEC Auditorium, Bldg 396 of the book Where Do Hands Do: An Introduction to Safe and Unsafe Touch by Krstaelynne Sanders Diggs and Anata Mohanta. The reading will be in Spanish. Copy of the book to take home will be available while supplies last.
