The Exceptional Family Member Program is here to help you thrive! Join us this July – September for a series of engaging workshops designed to educate, empower, and connect EFMP families. Explore topics like PCS planning, internet and social media safety, navigating the medical system, back-to-school success, EFMP advocacy, and more! Whether you’re looking for practical resources, helpful tips, or the opportunity to connect with other EFMP families, these workshops offer something for everyone. July 9 - Constructing Stability: PCS Planning

1:00 – 2:00 p.m. | Building 359

A workshop focused on the complexity of PCSing with EFMP families. Group discussion on how to prepare for a PCS move, tips and tricks to use during the move, and where to start once arriving at a new duty station.

July 23 - Online & In Control: Internet/Social Media Safety

1:00 – 2:00 p.m. | Building 359

A workshop focused on online/social media safety. Group discussion on safety, signs to watch out for, and communication tips to allow individuals to enjoy being online.

August 6 - Medical Maze: Navigating the System

A hands-on workshop focused on the complexity of the medical system that EFMP families use day to day. Group discussion on tracking referrals, Tricare options, and distance-based care.

August 20 - Back to School: Blast Off to Success

4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Building 359

A workshop focused on going back to school for EFMP families. Group discussion on routine building, IEP/504, and how to build a successful start for the new school year.

September 10 - You Soldier, Your Family, Your Rights: EFMP Advocacy 101

A workshop focused on advocacy for EFMP families. Group discussion on what EFMP is, the three different components/what they provide, and how to appropriate advocate for their family’s needs.

September 24 - Harvest Hands: DIY Desktop Sensory Bin

4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Building 359

A hands-on activity where EFMP families will have the opportunity to create a fall/autumn themed "mini" sensory bin as we discuss the changing of the season and collaborate with EFMP families to strengthen relationships.
