February is designated as National ‘Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month’ (TDVAM).

Every February, young people and their loved ones join together across the country for a national effort to raise awareness of any issues in teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) hosts a class in Internet Safety for Youth on February 3 from 4 – 5 p.m. at the Middle School & Teen Center (MST), 7110 McIver Street, Building 1055. The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) will present this in-person workshop to learn techniques and considerations for maintaining internet safety! Pre-registration is not required but attending youth must be registered with CYS to attend this event at MST. This class is open to all Middle and High School Students. Space is limited – for more information call FAP at 706-545-0892 or 706-545-3202. Masks and social distancing are required to ensure everyone’s safety.
