Fort Benning’s Virtual Summer Reading Program
Fort Benning’s beloved Summer Reading Program is going virtual this summer! This year’s Virtual Summer Reading Program will take place May 26—July 7. Readers of all ages are invited to participate in the program. Create your account today to unlock activities, prizes and more. The last day for registering will be on July 7 and the last day to log in minutes July 14.
What is the Summer Reading Program?
During the summer months, DoD-MWR Libraries around the world host a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults that encourage and support a love of reading. Participants also can earn incentives by reaching their reading and activity goals.
How do I sign-up for the Summer Reading Program?
To sign-up for the Summer Reading Program, log on to FortBenning.Beanstack.org and create an account. Once you sign-up for an account, download the mobile app to easily log your books and reading minutes.
How will the Virtual Summer Reading Program work?
3 easy steps — 1. Read. 2. Log your minutes and enjoy our free activities. 3. Earn rewards.
Once you have your Beanstack account set up, you will be able to log your reading minutes starting on May 26. Various prizes will be awarded by age group for participation and the Top Readers. Plus, there’s more! Each week, fun, educational videos will be posted on the website. These videos vary — Storytime, crafts, science experiments and Move & Groove. By participating in these weekly activities, you will be able to earn different badges.
When can I pick up my prizes?
Participants must reserve a time and date to pick up their prizes. Starting July 15, readers can email anne.e.fowlks.naf@mail.mil or jocelynn.b.pascua.naf@mail.mil to make an appointment. Appointments are available in 15-minute increments from 10am to 2pm on select days starting on July 25.
Where do I pick up my prize?
At the time of your appointment, prizes can be picked up on the 2nd Floor Program Room of the Long Library. Please note, masks will be required during your visit.
What should I bring when I pick up my prize?
At the time of your appointment, readers must present the email confirmation of the appointment and an identification card.
