NEW! Army Community Service is offering Soldier Family Readiness Group (SFRG) Virtual Trainings via Microsoft Teams for the Fort Benning Community!

Soldier and Family Readiness Groups is a command sponsored organization of family members, volunteers, soldiers, and civilian employees belonging to a unit, that together offer a corridor of mutual support and assistance.

The SFRG network provides direct communication among the family members, chain of command and community members.  

SFRG Foundations Essentials course provides information on maintaining a successful SFRG, time management and team building. The SFRG Foundations Essentials Training is on the 1st Thursday of every month.

Informal Funds Custodian training is designed for SFRG Leaders, Treasurers, and Command Teams that will manage SFRG funds. Information includes authority, restrictions, reporting requirements and fundraising polices. The SFRG Informal Funds Training is on the 2nd Thursday of every month.

The Command Family Readiness Representative (CFRR) serves as the commander's representative to ensure the free flow of information and support between the unit leadership, its volunteer base, unit personnel and family members. The Command Family Readiness Representative (Liaison) Training is on the 3rd Thursday of every month.

Key Contact role establishes a network to communicate information via telephone or electronically and provide support to Family members of the unit’s Soldier and Family Readiness Group (SFRG). The Key Contact role Training is on the 4th Thursday of every month, by request only.

Overall Schedule:  Every Thursday of the month is a class from 10am-12pm

  • 1st Thursdays – SFRG Foundations
  • 2nd Thursday – SFRG Informal Funds
  • 3rd Thursday- CFRR (Liaison)
  • 4th Thursday- Key Contact by request only
