April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) hosts several free virtual ‘child abuse awareness trainings’ every Wednesday’ in April and the first Wednesday in May, provided by Nova, to raise awareness on the detrimental effects of child abuse on families and communities. Please join us for those very resourceful online trainings for everyone to work together and to help and prevent child abuse and neglect.

The work performed in the helping profession is rewarding but often an emotional burden. Understanding the realities of secondary trauma, vicarious trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue help us to better support our own wellbeing. In this training, attendees will learn about the consequences of consistent exposure to trauma, as well as, skills and best practices for improving their self-care, maintaining healthy boundaries and increasing resilience in work.

Pre-registration is required for each training CEU's will be provided for attending the live training, click on the link and sign up today!
