Pine Mountain Hike

Looking for an adventure?  Join Outdoor Recreation (ODR) for a day hike on June 7 and discover with us a unique landscape - beautiful Pine Mountain!

The Pine Mountain trail is a lovely and well maintained over 40 miles trail system; it’s rated one of the best in the Southeast and considered the jewels of Georgia. Pine Mountain trail is one of Georgia’s longest and most scenic hiking trails which can be found at the F.D.R. State Park.

We will hike and explore the trails and loops, offering spectacular views of hardwoods, rock outcrops and small mountain streams while enjoying Georgia’s beauty!

We meet at Outdoor Recreation, 7310 Gillespie Street, building 1707, on Saturday, June 7 at 8 a.m., travel to Pine Mountain and will end our day trip back at ODR around 2 p.m.

We will hike the trails for approx. 3 hours; and while the trails are rated easy to moderate, participants must be at least 10 years and older.

Participation fee is $20 per person + $5 per additional family member; this event is open to all ID cardholders and their families; fee includes transportation, snacks and water.
