NRA Basic Pistol Course

Join the NRA Basic Pistol Course at the RSC!  Get ready to enhance your shooting skills with the National Rifle Association (NRA) Basic Pistol Course (BoPS) on multiple Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Recreational Shooting Complex!

Class Dates:  March 28, April 25, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 26, October 10 and November 14

Renowned for its excellence, the NRA sets the benchmark for firearms training.  This comprehensive 8-hour course, led by an NRA Certified Instructor, covers five essential NRA lessons, including Pistol Knowledge, Safe Gun Handling, Ammunition Knowledge, and Fundamentals.

Plus, you'll participate in a live-fire exercise on NRA standard targets at the pistol range.  Successfully complete the course and pass the NRA test to earn your official NRA certificate of completion.  Additionally, the course includes key aspects of MCoE Regulation Number 190-11, focusing on the registration, transportation, and storage of Privately Owned Firearms.
