Fort Benning Outdoor Recreation is excited to announce its first Lantern Festival! The Fort Benning community is invited to attend an evening of games, music, kayaking and canoeing at Twilight Pond on May 16 from 5 – 9pm. Once all boats are cleared off the water around 6:30pm, participants will release floating lanterns onto the pond creating a mesmerizing view. Children must be accompanied by an adult during this event.
Schedule of activities:
5-6:30pm family activities
7pm – first lantern launch
8:30pm – second lantern launch
