Family Advocacy Program

#
Note: This event has already passed.
The Family Advocacy Program will host a motivational guest speaker, Aimee Copeland, from 1:30-2:30pm August 21 at Building 500 on Camp Rogers, home of the Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade, on Harmony Church. When Copeland was in college, she contracted a rare and deadly flesh-eating disease which resulted in her losing all her limbs. Despite years of struggle, Copeland recently finished her second degree in social work and now serves as a mental health counselor for trauma victims. She created the Aimee Copeland Foundation which raises funds for a wellness park and holistic therapy center in Atlanta. Her story of resiliency is beautiful and inspiring. This free event is open to all Soldiers, civilians and family members. Guests will receive credit for required annual FAP, ASAP, and Suicide Prevention training.
