Register Now!Join the Fort Benning Family Advocacy Program (FAP) and Suicide Prevention Program on September 8 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. during Suicide Prevention Month for a virtual training presented by NOVA (National Organization for Victim Assistance): "Child and Adolescent Suicide Prevention".
Kim Walton presents this training to raise awareness and to provide help to keep families safe. This free virtual training from NOVA will discuss best practices for preventing suicide among children and adolescents.

About the presenter/speaker - Kim Walton:
Kim Walton has recently retired from her role as the Clinical Lead for the Zero Suicide Institute at Education Development Center. She has worked in health and behavioral health care for over 30 years in a variety of settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, school-based, home-based, and residential behavioral health as well as ambulatory primary and specialty care practices. She has served in the roles of Chief Operations Officer, Chief Clinical Officer and most recently as Vice President/Chief Nurse Executive for Ambulatory Care over her 23 years with a large integrated health care system in Indiana. Kim was also responsible for the implementation of Zero Suicide and the Project Director for the Garrett Lee Smith Suicide Prevention grant at the same health care system. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Behavioral Health, she also brings extensive clinical experience with youth and families, in trauma informed care and crisis intervention.
