Beginner Pistol Shooting Course

Looking to get started with pistol shooting?  Our Beginner Pistol Shooting Course is the perfect way to dive into the basics of firearm safety and handgun fundamentals. Held at the Recreational Shooting Complex, this course is ideal for newcomers or anyone who’s just bought a handgun and wants to learn how to use it safely.

Join us on multiple Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for an awesome class!

Class Dates: April 4, June 6, August 8 and September 12

We’ll kick things off in a classroom setting and then head to the range for some hands-on shooting practice. Here’s what we’ll cover:

• Firearms safety • Different types of handguns • Handgun parts • Types and safe handling of ammunition

• Loading and unloading a handgun • Shooting fundamentals • Cleaning and maintaining a handgun

• Safe firearm storage.

The course is $70 per person, which includes a rental weapon, ammunition, target, eye protection, and hearing protection. Students will also receive two free Range passes (passes are good for one day)!  Spots are limited, so make sure to pre-register!  This course is open to everyone who can access the installation, and you must be 18 or older to sign up.
