MWR will host the annual Back to School Bash from 9am-noon July 27 at the Youth Services Campus at the intersection of Baltzell and McIver streets on Main Post. This free event is exclusively for the school-age dependent children of active duty service members assigned to Fort Benning. Supplies will be distributed while they last on a first come, first served basis, for students in pre-K through high school. Students must be present and show their military dependent ID (10 years of age and older) to receive a free backpack filled with school supplies. Parents or legal guardians must accompany children. This event also includes games, bounce houses, water activities and refreshments, free health screenings, and information on community resources. This is an outdoor event, so prepare for hot weather and bring sun block, water and umbrellas for your safety and comfort. Please anticipate long lines.
