Abandoned Vehicle Closed Bid Auction

Deals on wheels! We will auction a variety of used and abandoned vehicles on March 16 thru 17, daily between 8 a.m. thru 6 p.m. at the Impound lot on Main Post at the intersection of Kilgore and Marchant.

NO preview days! Pictures of all items will be posted to the MWR Facebook page.

Bidders pick up a bidding card and envelope and will place their bid for a vehicle inside an envelope. This can be done between Thursday, March 16, 8 a.m. until Friday, March 17, 6 p.m. (we can’t accept a bid after 6 p.m.).

Our friendly MWR Auto Skills Staff will collect all bids and announce highest bids for each vehicle at the following times: March 16: 1 p.m.; March 17: 8 a.m. + 12 p.m. + 4 p.m. Place your bid – come back and check if your bid is still the highest and if not – place another bid!

  • Must be in person, we can’t provide any information on bids over the phone!

The highest bidder for each vehicle will win the auction and will be notified on Monday, March 20 by staff from Auto Skills Center.

Bidders must obtain a bidder's card. We accept cash, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover. Vehicles must be picked up starting March 20 until latest (close of business) March 24. Must show paid receipt to remove vehicle.

Additional information:

  1. Some vehicles have a minimum start bid.
  2. No preview days; check ‘Fort Benning MWR’ Facebook for pictures of vehicles being offered at the auction
  3. Not all cars have keys- cars will be marked appropriately.
  4. The auction is open to public.
  5. Customers will not be able to start cars- cars that start/turn on will be marked appropriately.
  6. Customers are allowed to open cars and look inside, including engine area.
  7. Customers will pick up bidding cards at the impound lot when they arrive.
  8. NEW: MWR Staff will announce highest bid per vehicle at the following days and times:

March 16: 1 p.m. as well as on Friday, March 17: 8 a.m. + 12 p.m. + 4 p.m. – Auction ends at 6 p.m.
