9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Each year we honor and remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Join us for our annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Thursday, September 11 at Doughboy Stadium.

Pay tribute to all FDNY firefighters by climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center; 110 stories equal around 2,200 steps or about 2 miles of stairs.  9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a way to never forget one of the most tragic days in American history.

We will meet starting (TBD) at Doughboy Stadium; all participants are encouraged to wear full firefighter gear which will be available at the check in (firefighter gear is limited, first come, first served).  The 9/11 Stair Climb starts at 9:03 a.m.; the first plane crashed into the North Tower at 8:46 a.m. and roughly seventeen minutes later, at 9:03 a.m., UA Flight 175 struck the World Trade Center Tower 2.
