2026 Independence Celebration

During the summer, Fort Benning hosts an early Independence Day celebration, allowing Soldiers and their Families the opportunity to travel home for the 4th of July holiday.
Join us for the annual Independence Celebration, a spectacular tribute to our nation’s freedom and independence. Enjoy exceptional musical performances, witness the Chattahoochee Valley’s largest fireworks display, and experience military displays and demonstrations, all within a safe and secure environment.  Festivalgoers can choose from a mouthwatering selection of culinary delights, from kettle corn and funnel cake to ice cream, southern cuisine, grilled dishes, Cajun specialties, barbecue, and so much more!
Bring the whole Family for a day packed with fun! Enjoy a rockclimbing wall, bounce houses, arts and crafts, and a variety of exciting entertainment.
Mark your calendars for this year’s Independence Celebration on June 27 at York Field on Eckel Avenue, right in front of the Maneuver Center of Excellence headquarters, McGinnis-Wickam Hall.
