Let’s go Hiking! Join Outdoor Recreation (ODR) for a day hike on July 26 and discover with us a unique landscape, the beautiful Chewacla State Park!
Chewacla State Park, located in Auburn, Alabama is a public recreation area occupying 696 acres below the Interstate 85. The Chewacla State Park’s highlight is Lake Chewacla which provides lots of opportunities for fishing, swimming and boating. In addition, the park features a large system of different trails for hiking. Chewacla State Park received many awards for its beauty, and we will discover it and show it to you!
We are meeting at Outdoor Recreation, 7310 Gillespie Street, building 1707, on Saturday, July 26 at 8 a.m., travelling to the park and will end our day trip back at ODR around 3 p.m. We will hike the trails for approx. 4-5 hours; and while the trails are rated easy to moderate, participants must be at least 10 years old.
Participation fee is $15 per person; take advantage of our family special for $45 only! Sign up the entire Family and enjoy the outdoors together! (Family price applies to four+ family members; must be in the same household).
This event is open to all ID cardholders and their families; participation fee includes the $15 entry fee to the park, transportation, snacks and water. Registration is required; space is limited!
