Help the Hooch – Rivers Alive Trash Clean-Up Event & Photo Contest 2020

The hooch needs your help! Fort Benning Environmental and MWR have teamed up to bring you Rivers Alive Trash Clean-Up Event & Photo Contest 2020. Cleanup kits consisting of trash bags, gloves, safety guidelines, instructions and facemasks will be distributed on October 21, 22, and 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Environmental Building. Participants may choose to provide their own supplies or email jasmine.c.truitt.ctr@mail.mil to set an alternative time for kit pick-up. After the cleanup, show off your hard work through our photo contest. Volunteers may submit their photos through our Facebook page between October 21 and November 15. Submissions are available for four categories -- individuals/couples, owners and dogs, families/groups, units/organizations. Winners will be randomly selected and announced on November 20 at 3 p.m. on the MWR Facebook page. Visit us online today for additional contest rules and details. >>> Photo Contest Rules:

• Photos must be submitted between October 21 at Midnight and November 15 at 11:59 p.m. 
• Submissions should be reflect participation in the event (i.e. picking up trash, posed in front of drop off location or area cleaned, etc.) 
• Each Facebook account will only be permitted one photo submission.
• Photos should be posted on the Discussion section of the Facebook event. Photos sent via email, through Facebook messenger, or any other means will not be accepted.
• All submitted photos must be tagged with appropriate hashtag to ensure entry into the drawing.
