Financial Readiness

In The best interest of our customers and team members our ACS Financial Readiness Office is currently closed, but we are still here for you and assisting you with any financial needs or questions you may have.  We are available Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm and Friday's between 10am - 4:30pm:

Army Emergency Relief

Fort Benning AER and Army Community Service is teleworking due to COVID-19; we have established an electronic process for customers to apply using the internet.  In order to begin the process for financial assistance, please contact an AER Specialist at one of the following numbers: (706) 545-3530, (706) 626-0214 or (706) 626-0189.

Once you speak with an AER Specialist, they will assess your current situation and you will apply using email and a secure document upload. 

You still must meet one of the eligibility factors below in order to apply for assistance.


        1.   Active Duty & Retired Soldiers (and family)

        2.   Retired Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers receiving Retired pay (and family)

        3.   Medically Retired Soldiers and their dependents, including Permanent or Temporary Disability Retirement List.

       4.   Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers under Title 10 on continuous Active Duty for more than 30 consecutive days (and family)

       5.   Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers (and family) affected by DoD Travel Ban but not on Title 10 orders will be considered case-by-base for extreme hardship

Family Advocacy Program

  • Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  
  • Friday: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Please note: No troop trainings are being conducted at this time.

Business and Recreation

  • Storge Payments with Outdoor Recreation:  Due to outdoor recreation being closed indefinitely, patrons may make payments via Webtrac, or mail a check to MWR to cover their storage fees for the month. 
  • Hunting Community: Effective Friday, March 20, access to Fort Benning is authorized only to CAC CARD, MIL ID, AIE, RETIREE ID cards holders at this time. Trusted Traveler and Escorts of Civilians by MIL ID card holders are cancelled. VISITORS that DO NOT possess a CAC CARD, MILbID, AIE or RETIREE ID card are currently prohibited from entering post include personnel coming to Fort Benning to participate in Recreational Activities (Hunting).  There is NO hog hunting during turkey season.
  • Russ Pool and Pond is currently closed for fishing until further notice due to an imbalance to the fish habitat.  The park remains open for safe distance recreation.
  • Facilities such as Doughboy Stadium, Stewart Watson Field, and other outdoor tracks/facilities remain open during this time. Appropriate health protection condition measures are still in effect.
  • Groome Transportation has suspend their trips to and from Atlanta beginning 3/20/20 until further notice.  If you have any questions, please call 706-324-3939.


Child & Youth Services

Effective Monday March 30, we will only provide care for the children of Medical/EMS/DES personnel at our CDC's.  Please note we are not taking regestrations for any events at Parent Central right now.

Attention Georgia Pre-K applicants – At this time we are unable to have families come in and complete entry forms for the Georgia Pre-K program. The date for when we can open our doors for the application process is TBD, but we will update you as soon as more information is provided.  For more info, please see above for email and phone numbers for School Liasion Officers.
